Umunira Lake

Umunira is like a small pond located in the Administrative Post of Lautém, Suco COM area, Vailo-Vaia Village, which hides from visitors. This pond belongs to the Katiratu clan. Forbidden for visitors or tourists to swim or bathe in this place, because it is considered sacred since the times of their great-grandparents in the past. From the national road to the lagoon ±500 meters. The road to access this place is still natural, or not yet rebuilt, so the head of the COM Suco asks the lider’s to rehabilitate the path to the lagoon so that visitors or tourists can access it freely.

The color of this water is green and its depth is level with the sea of COM, so when the waves of the sea rises the water also rises, but when the waves of the sea fall the water also falls, because it hides in a basin of the mount.
